The following is feedback from former J-Spec Imports customers, the majority are comments directly from customers to our email and were unsolicited, and some are written directly for this section after customers wished to do so.
These are just from customers in the last few years, we have not gone back through the full 10+ years and 1,500+ cars of J-Spec's customer base.

Just letting you know everything has gone through with the Caldina. It's registered and cruising the streets of Melbourne! Thanks so much for the great service and always getting back to me promptly.
Just about everything is as good as I'd hoped! Overall a very pleasant experience dealing with you and J-spec and if I ever import a car again I would definitely be hitting you up!

Hey Ben, I picked the car up today. It's exactly what I wanted from the start, and I got a fantastic deal on it, altogether its cost me under $(removed) and that's registered, comprehensively insured and 4 brand new tyres.
Thank you so much for all your help with this, if asked I couldn't find a fault with how your end of things went, I will definitely be recommending you to friends. Your service and knowledge has certainly surpassed anything I received from other brokers I was speaking to, I'm really pleased with what you did for me.
All the best mate.

This was simplicity itself. I specified what I wanted and Ben found it, imported it, found someone to put the steering wheel back where it belongs and then had it delivered to me. Minimum fuss. Maximum information. Continuous status on the whereabouts and condition of the car. Clear advice at all times. Thank you for my car Ben. The only problem is, it was so easy now I want another one. Oh, and the best part, I still don't know what is involved in importing and compliancing a car!
Seriously - thank you Ben for a very pleasant transaction. I am recommending you to everyone I know.

After hearing a few good things from friends and being a regular visitor to the J-Spec website, I took the plunge and asked their assistance to import me a vehicle. Initially wanting a Toyota Aristo, I ended up sourcing a VVTi 6spd Toyota Supra. My dealings with Ben during this time were excellent. Although we were on different sides of the country, contact was regular and I was always informed of the process via email and phone. Ben would always reply promptly to questions asked and was very knowledgable on vehicles and the auctions process. Car came as described and I was very pleased with the purchase and service, so much so that I am now currently using the assistance of Ben @ J-Spec to purchase another vehicle, a Toyota JZX100 Chaser.

The condition is amazing considering it's a 5 year old car. The previous owner really looked after it.
The guys inspecting the car at the licencing centre initially thought it was a brand new car and could not believe the features it had for the price.
I'm really impressed with it. I hadn't driven one before mine. I was just going by reviews. Although I did drive a couple of 350Zs which is close enough. It's a big step up from my old R33. Handles brilliantly and I don't miss the lag!
Thanks once again

My car arrived on Monday, I'm so thrilled to have it! The condition is fantastic, you were right to talk me out of the white one, I can see how much better this car is so thanks. AS you know I've been writing a blog about the whole process, for your info the car in the end came in about $200 under the budget you originally gave me, so kudos. I guess it's time I start looking for a car for my Dad now as well :-)

The Caterham arrived in Canberra today! It is pretty well as expected, the photos did a good job of revealing the condition accurately. Apart from an interminable wait on the wharf for the thing to be cleaned, it was all quite smooth.
Thank you for your part in this, all the paperwork was handled well and you managed to get the seller to move on it when it started to appear he wasn't all that bothered.

I have purchased 8 vehicles through J-Spec since 2004 and have been thoroughly impressed with the service provide by Ben and Craig. Their advice and knowledge regarding importation laws, regulations and the industry in general is excellent which has made all of my vehicle purchases very easy. The quality of vehicles is well described in the email and website notifications, which allowed me to make informed decisions about purchases I made - without bombarding them with questions and phone calls.
The estimated costs have been almost spot on each time. I have not paid more than the estimated costs and each time, they have stepped me through the process, providing guidance on when funds are to be transferred and to who.
I would highly recommend J-Spec to anyone who is interested in or looking for more advice about importing a vehicle into Australia.

Today is the final day of this somewhat lengthy process. My car is now complied and ready to be registered. First of all i would just like to thank everyone at J-spec for their constant help and speedy responses to my 10,000 questions.
Ben, you did an awesome job the whole way through. I always felt like you were extremely knowledgable about the whole process and always felt like i was a number one priority. You made it easy to ask questions, and i trusted you always had the right answers.
I will definately be using your service again in the future, and will be referring anyone that is interested in importing to J-spec.

Dude my E51 is killa!!!!!!!!! I can't believe why these things weren't ever brought to Aussie, it drives like a limo, is as comfy as my lounge room, with just as much room and comfort for anybody else who wishes to cruise with me.
Its a definate head turner, everybody looks, its amazing, males and females of all ages look and stare, its quite funny how many, guys especially actually hang out the windows of their cars as I drive past. I cant go anywhere without people stopping me to ask what it is.
Top Gear Compliance were great too, very helpful and thorough with their work, the van passed inspection and registration first go, as soon as I picked it up from the transport company I took it to inspection and was registered the same day, as a 6 seater, yeah!!!!!!!!
In summary I love it, once again you've found me an awesome car. I really appreciate all you're help, advise, and work in bringing me and my Elgrand together, as we now ride in style off into the sunset!!!!!! :)
Thanks again man, next time im in Melbourne I'll let ya know and if ya got time we should catch up and I'll shout a couple a beers.

I found J-Spec the website in 2007 and became a regular visitor, after inquiring about J-Spec from fellow motoring enthusiasts via SAU (Skylines Australia) and decided to import my first car, a V35 Nissan Skyline in 2008, J-spec's understanding of customer expectations was excellent, this is specially evident in the fact that my budget was limited, yet i was after a limited edition 70th Anniversary coupe. After a few auctions later I found and imported a V35 coupe in 2008 and was very happy with it, all my shipping, customs and compliance was arranged by J-spec as well.
In 2010 when i wanted to buy my ultimate car Skyline R34 GTR, i knew exactly who to contact, Ben has being very methodical in his process of vetting vehicles and presenting a selection that fits my criteria rather than everything that goes via the auction system. The R34 GTR was imported in 2010 after a few weeks of selection and it was exactly the Car I wanted and as specified to J-Spec originally. Ben kept me in contact through out this time via email and phone. J-Spec also negotiated the with various compliance centers as well as any advice I would need along the way.
It is import to note that on both occasions in 2008 and 2010 and over 2 very different cars, J-Spec has imported exactly what i wanted and within agreed budget without me having to worry about anything. I would based on my personal experience alone highly recommend them.

I was keen to deal with someone who knew what they were talking about and had access to the widest range of vehicles possible. It was also important that I felt I could trust the person and the process. JSpec and Ben met all these criteria. I reckon I saved somewhere between two and four thousand dollars by buying at auction through Ben. Thanks mate a great vehicle.

It needs a good clean (like someone drove it through a dust storm!) but I can see the car is mint. Thakns so much for your help in getting it, considering how much better it is than all of the local models I'm really glad I got this one in the end. I'd say this is even better than my old R33 which is saying something! The transport company took about a week longer than promised which sucked but otherwise everything was smooth.

Hey Ben
GTR arrived and I'm doing some maintenance stuff on it now, it's great. I guess we have to get one more car for my sister and then we're a full J-Spec family lol! My Dad's GTO just had the 100k service, mum's car hasn't missed a beat. The GTR is the fastest of the bunch which isn't doing family relations any good but he knew the score, I know he emailed you about a 928 but it's going to take more than that!.

Having owned 21 different imports purchased locally through my teens and early twenties, I thought I'd try my luck at importing one directly from Japan. Although you have risk involved you'll often find cars in better condition at a lower price then you will locally.
1st on the agenda was something 4 door to replace the Soarer. I contacted Craig and Ben at J-spec having heard of them through forums and word of mouth. I was quickly informed of the procedure and costs involved and within a couple of weeks of searching I had an Aristo on its way.
A few years later the bug bit again and I decided to import another couple of cars, and this time I was to visit Japan in person with a group of friends on holiday. Ben was in Japan sourcing cars for his customers so I managed to meet up with him and view a few auctions with him being our tour guide. After a couple of auctions we managed to find and purchase a couple of very decent Nissan Y34's at really good prices. We had an awesome trip to Japan and especially loved seeing the ins and outs of the Japanese auctions.
Having imported a few cars now, I can thoroughly recommend these guys to take care of all your importation needs.

I took possession of the car today and I am thrilled to say the least.
The car is a fine example of an evo 6.5 and really turns heads. Its tastefully and professionally modified and didnt need much work to bring it up to its former glory. The car is something else on the high boost setting, making some serious power.
All up the whole process cost a total of around $(price removed). We were very close to the mark on that one.
Thanks for your help throughout the process, it was worth it, I have ended up with a great car and what seems like a very reliable and fast one at that.

Just letting you know I have picked up the car and its great! Just one thing I wanted to ask was if you can find out whether or not there was an extra key with the vehicle. I have only got 1 key, which is just a normal one, I thought the GTR key would be something different. So I'm not sure whether that it just came with the one key or if it did come with the second its gone missing.
Otherwise everything seems nice, it just needs some good attention, but it looks really really nice.. And goes quiet well too.
Thanks for your help in purchasing this car.

Car received and its pretty good !! Just a few things to sort out before its on the road like brakes and vin number on chassis and take tint off. Other than that it seems fine and im surprised at the condition, I expected it to be worse and the paint is quite good, just a detail and polish will bring it up to awesome condition !!
Thanks again for your help and look forward to fun times ahead with my new Aristo and hopefully trouble free !!
And, the price came in pretty much on the money , give or take a few bucks, which is great !!
Cheers mate !

Thanks for all your help over the past 12 weeks, I am very happy with the car and would be keen to import once again in the future. For someone that this was their first time importing, your assistance and help was invaluable. I can see why the Australian car industry is in so much trouble, when you can import exotic cars like theses for this sort of money. Hey, I have already had an offer on the Mags from the guy who installed the alarm.
Thanks once again for your assistance.

I had the pleasure of enlisting the services of J-Spec Imports through Ben Lippa in late 2006. I had very specific criteria for my S15 Silvia in terms of condition and options; of which a number of rare options were specified. Not too long after the search was initiated a number of candidates were presented and we narrowed it down to an example from a dealership in Narita - which met all of my criteria and then some.
J-Spec leveraged their network in Japan to arrange an inspection and test drive of the car prior to purchase to ensure everything was as expected. From this inspection I received a detailed report, and well over 200 high resolution photos depicting every inch of the car. Given the positive outcome of the inspection I proceeded to purchase the car.
From there Ben ensured that my first import experience was a breeze, having organised all the logistics around international payment, import approval, shipping, customs and finally compliancing. Predictably by the time I went to get a roadworthy certificate for registration not a single item needed to be replaced. I could not have asked for a better outcome.
Since then my partner, based off my positive experience imported an R34 GTT. She was pleased to have been treated to the same professional service I had received prior. That being said I highly recommend the team at J-Spec Imports, and will surely be back in the future.

I was lucky enough to see my car come up for sale on the J-Spec mailing list at a bargain price, and from the previous experience of my partner importing a Silvia through J-Spec I had no reservations about contacting J-Spec straight away. Ben sent me approx. 80 photos of the car, kept in contact throughout the entire process and answered every question (no matter how silly it may have sounded), he really put my mind at ease. I was lucky enough to have J-Spec personally inspect and test drive the car for in Japan before I purchased it. They recommended a great compliancer once it landed and the whole process was made very easy. If there isn't a car on their mailing list that takes your fancy - tell them every minute detail (model, colour, options, etc.) and they will track down exactly what you need.
I'd highly reccommend J-Spec to anyone looking to import a car.

I have imported cars from other companies but since importing a Skyline in 2005 I was certain I never wanted to deal with another person from another import company. It is no guarantee that a pretty picture will result in happy ownership, but with Ben and the people at J-Spec, I found they were as fussy as I wanted them to be - even talking me out of vehicles that looked great, but presented a risk. Our Stagea is one of the best performance cars I have ever driven and far superior to similar Stageas I have seen and cruised with here on the coast. The money was spot on and I know I can sell at a profit if I listen to the advice and buy the right model, with the right combination of extras. I wouldn't take the risk with anyone else! Thanks J-Spec!

Just to give you some feedback on how it all went:
- condition was spot on as described right down to the little scratches on the fender
- total time was about a week longer than quoted, but given that it came in over Christmas I think that's not too bad
- total price was about $200 more than quoted
All up I'm really happy as I'm sure you know, I know I asked a million questions (you think I would have learned after the Leggy) so thanks for being patient.

The decision to import our own Delica was a big one and not undertaken lightly. After much research we chose J-Spec to facilitate doing this. We found Ben to be very knowledgeable and always available to consult with. It took some time to find the right Delica for us as were we quite specific. We were out bid a couple of times, but such is auctions. Most importantly though, Ben's inspectors in Japan ruled out at least 3 Delica's because of under body condition. And there lies a key difference between J-Spec and a used car salesman… Ben acted on our behalf and wanted to get the right car for us, not just any car to get a sale.
After taking almost 8 weeks to find, bid on and buy the right Delica, then a further 10 weeks to get it to Adelaide, complied and registered, importing is not for the impatient. However Ben guided us through the process and organised the logistics as required. Costs were as estimated. End result: We're absolutely stoked with our Delica. Would we do it again? … Yes! With J-Spec again? … Absolutely.

I just wanted to let you know I collected my Caldina GT-T on the weekend, and it is absolutely fantastic.
The only thing it needed for a RWC were tyres and parker globes, a testament to the fact that the car was as legit as it seemed.
It came in virtually right on budget, which left me a few dollars to do a few nice things to it, such as the plates and a new set of wheels.
Thanks A LOT for always happily answering my pestering questions, and keeping me well and truly informed the whole way through the process. Having never imported a car before it was very reassuring to have someone keep me up to speed with everything. I'll be more than happy to refer any of my friends to you, as you know i've already pointed a friend in your direction, and after having shown the Caldina off to my family and friends over the weekend, don't be surprised if you have a few more customers shortly.

As Craig may have already told you, I picked up my Corona Hardtop from Toll yesterday. I am totally blown away with how good it is. The condition of the car really exceeded my expectations. There are some minor patches of rust and some scratches, but the car is arrow straight and most of the paint is really good. The interior is near immaculate, everything works (except the A/C of course) and it runs really well.
I've only driven it a short distance (on a permit), but it's already turning heaps of heads! Even my wife loves it, and it is causing a lot of interest on the Toymods website. I can't wait to get it road legal.
I just wanted to thank you for all your help in making my dreams of owning one of these rare cars come true. You put up with my incessant questions and made the whole process really easy and painless. Rest assured I will be recommending J-Spec as a top source for a JDM import.

I have imported 4 cars with J-Spec Imports over 5 years, having used another import broker prior to this there is no comparison. Not only does J-Spec get significantly more information and photos (I had 400 pics of my Skyline before buying it!) but their advice and honesty is invaluable, they talked me out of buying a car through them that I was happy to buy because they thought they could find a better one for me, and they did! I have nothing but good things to say about them and when I have the money for a GTR it will be J-Spec car number 5!

Just thought I'd shoot you an email to let you know that the Legnum arrived last friday and I have been driving it since. Gotta say its easily the best handling and performing wagon I have ever driven, and everything is as I was expecting it to be. As someone who had previously never imported a car, I found dealing with J-Spec to be quick, easy and most importantly informative. I would like to extend my thanks to Ben and the team at J-Spec for the work you have done importing my car from Japan. I paid for you to locate and organise shipping of my car and believe it was a worthwhile investment because not only did i get straight forward advice along the way, but when things didn't go quite to plan Ben helped accomodate by presenting new options and taking responsibility of retrieving the vehicle. Today I picked up my 1999 Silvia from the depot. Firstly, the car matched the condition that was stated and shown in the pictures, which was one of my main concerns about importing. However, knowing that Ben and his team can deliver as promised, I will have no hesitation about importing again.
Secondly, I would like to highlight that my case was somewhat different to the average person importing a car. During the process of importing I was deployed in Afghanistan, which created some difficulty in communication and placed a lot of strain on times and availability. Ben, my hat goes off to you for being flexible and understanding to my situation. A very big Thank you. There are a lot of importers out there, and J-Spec is the King of the biz!

The car arrived in town on Thursday. It looks even better then the pictures!! After a quick safety inspection, it looks to be in beautiful shape. Very little rust on the undercarriage, a few spots about the size of a wheel nut, and that is all the rust I've found. There was a bunch of HKS meters and gadgets in the glove box that I was unaware of, Bonus!! So far it runs very well and the engine is strong.

I'd wish to say thanks to Jspec and Ben in particular with my purchase of my Skyline R34 which was way back in 2006 and still enjoy the car till this day. Have had no troubles with the car whatsoever and would be more than happy recommending their services to anybody that was looking to import a car from Japan as they make the process very easy and keep you updated on all of the things you need to do whilst you await your new toy

In October 2010 I was introduced to Ben by a fellow workmate who had previously brought 2 cars from Ben thru J-spec. For many months I dreamed and procrastinated about buying an M35 Stagea from Japan and importing with Ben's help. My previous car, a 1993 R33 Nissan Skyline GTS-T was already imported when I purchased that.
Long before I had even signed up with Ben, he was always extremely helpful, courteous, and professional with any email and question I threw at him.
I would say that I wasn't one of his easiest customers to please. After I did sign up, some 8 months later, his exceptional service continued as it did previously. Never did I feel that I was any trouble to him, and if he didn't know an answer to a question, he would find out and let me know. He even went above and beyond the call of duty (that's how you can tell he loves his work!). Ben knew the process like the back of his hand, and everything that he said would happen, did happen, so you can rest assured you are in safe hands with Ben.
My car, a 2004 Nissan Stagea finally arrived from Japan and the condition was much better than reported on the auction sheets in my eyes. It was a Grade 4 with B interior and B exterior. I was so pleased to see it. It just needs a good wash and vacuum then it will look killer!
I'm sure I will call on Ben's services again in a few years when I'm ready to buy my V36 Skyline. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ben to any family, friends or strangers.
I can't thank him or speak highly enough of him.
If you want fantastic, honest, professional and affordable service then see Ben @ J-Spec imports.

I bought a 1990 BMW 525 off you about 4 years ago out of Tokyo. It has been going strong ever since regular service at a local garage and brakes redone once. The paint job was not in great condition(they are second hand) but there still isnt a squeak or a rattle in it. I've since done a spray painting course and am in the process of repainting it.
I would most certainly be a repeat customer.

We bought a Nissan Cube through Ben and J-spec, it would have to be the easiest car I've ever bought. The whole process was painless, we told Ben what we wanted and he found the exact car and within our budget. Ever step of the way Ben was there to help and kept us informed. The hardest part...getting time off work to go and pick it up. The car itself was immaculate even with our limited budget, Ben did an amazing job of sourcing it.
When I finally decide to change my car I will without a doubt be talking to J-Spec first.

Hey mate, collected the car yesterday, absolutely love it, I'm very impressed you did a top job finding this one. I would highly recommend that you send some more work to Ernie also if you don't already, he and the boys have done a brilliant job and I'm very happy with the way the compliance has been handled. Only two issues I have found, albeit minor ones, there's no key for the locknuts, so I can bet that it was with the rest of the gear that went missing from the boot. I'll just have to try the wheel shops to see if they can match one up. The other one is that the steering wheel is not straight but I'm presuming that the previous owner probably had an aftermarket on there and when refitting the original didn't get it lined up quite right, should be simple enough to fix. Anyway, just wanted to pass on my appreciation, hope all goes well in Japan and maybe one of these days I'll get my ass over there and arrange to meet up with you.

I am particularly happy with how well it drives, notwithstanding the obvious attraction to the body kit / interior etc. I have removed the foglights in the interim to allow air to get to the side-mounts, and will probably get a FMIC in time. Car wheelspins fairly easily in a straight line, not by, me but I wanted an opinion from some who drives Zeds regularly - my compliancer. He thinks it may not be running stock boost (or perhaps the rebuilt turbos are not stock).
Everything has gone too much without a hitch. Anyway, thanks to you for your involvement in getting this bought, stored, shipped, cleared and collected.

Just thought I'd send you a quick email from a happy customer!
The Skyline is AWESOME, I've had it for a couple of weeks now. Mechanically its perfect, Interior is immaculate, the car even came with spare keys! EVERYTHING works (seats, mirrors, electric windows, etc). Bodywork is pretty damn impressive (one mark as per the photos we'd seen from Japan, which once I sell my old car I will get sorted)
The process was extremely quick and efficient (to be honest, I got the car about 2-3 weeks earlier than I anticipated; based on last time). So thanks for a job well done :D Oh and as a quick aside, The first buyer to come and have a look at the last car I imported through you (AE111 Levin) has made me an offer on it; 90,000km after leaving Japan and its still in significantly better condition than cars its age for sale here.
Thanks for everything! Who knows what my next import will be... probably an Evo when I need a car with a bigger boot and 4 doors...

I gave Ben a brief of what I was after and the very next day he found me an excellent grade 4.5A example of an EVO 8 MR. I was supplied with at least 150 photos of the vehicle, an inspection report and even some videos of the car running. I had purchased the car within 24 hours of signing with J Spec, apparently this was a record! J spec assisted me every step of the way and made the purchasing and importing experience very easy by putting me into contact with all of the relevant people to get the car here and complied. Upon arrival the car was exactly as Ben described. It is hard to find good reliable service these days, I recommend J Spec Imports to anyone looking to import a good quality car with no hassles. I will definitely be using their services in the future.

When I asked J-spec to find my car, they were very helpful in providing me with any information that would assist me in purchasing the best possible car within my guidelines. Every day I would receive emails of upcoming auctions and car yard stocks that could be suitable, then if anything interesting came up, I could call them and ask for more details like a graded vehicle inspection, loads of close up pictures which closed the fear gap of purchasing something with personally seeing the car. J-spec was always on hand to provide or answer any question you have; they were only a phone call away and there wasn't any pressure to buy, but they did offer personal advice on where the car was a good example or not.
Once you have purchased your car, J-spec take care of the process to ensure the transaction from Japan to your doorstep is as smooth as possible, they provide all the necessary paper work that needs to be completed and inform you what payments are required, along the way you will receive confirmation of where it's off to next. Before you know it the tow truck driver is knocking on your door.

J-Spec Imports (Ben in particular) did a fantastic job of finding me my dream car! It fitted the brief and was within my budget.
Ben made sure the whole process was smooth and complete, and answered every single one of my endless queries. At the time, import demand was high so I encountered a bit of a delay in receiving my car, but Ben kept me up to date with it's progress, and was almost equally excited as me when it arrived in Australia! Ben also went beyond his role by recommending compliance agents, and helping me out with a few general mechanical issues I had with the car. I would highly recommend J-Spec Imports to anyone wanting to import a car to Australia.

im really pleased with the car. it has plenty of unknown extras. The suspension isnt tein but hard springs in the back and damper adjustable shocks and hard springs in the front. Its got a larger turbo, CPU has been remapped by tomei (no rev limiter, or it set really high-i've been to 8,500rpm), a GTR fuel pump and slotted discs on the front. I wound down the boost to 1.2bar (17psi) and it still goes *expletive removed* hard. At top revs in second itll spin the wheels hard in the dry without dumping the clutch, just flooring it! its a weapon.
Id just like to say a big thanks to every one at J-spec and especially you ben, although it took a bit longer than expected, it was well worth the wait. Thanks guys you did a great job.

Pretty awesome.
Coming from a slightly modified R32 GTR i was not sure what to expect. Considering the VR-4 is stock, it has alot of power, i would imagine that with a few small mods, boost controller, filter exhaust, computer it would be the same as a GTR. I know that with these mods, the Vr-4 is capable of 225kw at all fours, which is capable of sending it down the quarter mile in around a low 13 sec bracket.
Handling is pretty good, especially for more of a luxury car. The four wheel drive and a longish wheel base allows it to get around corners quick and curves are unbelievable! (as good as the GTR)
I don't know why they took the active yaw off the newer versions. It takes a little getting used to under high performance situations but is far more effective than just an LSD. Mind you, my comparison is a 93 GSR lancer. The BBS wheels are way too small! :-) I probably will change them for a set of 19in x 8 with 235 width x 35 profile tyres. It will need to be lowered with these on it, which i hope won't stiffen up the car too much, however it will handle unreal with these measurements. (height/width/weight ratios)
The drive is beautiful, The tyres they put on it are a little noisy, but still quite good. Its ride feels a little stiff, which i like, but not too stiff over bumps, potholes etc. I would compare the overall ride and quietness to a late model BMW 330 or the likes, maybe or a new commodore etc.
So far so good, some minor electrical problems, right mirror stopped working, clock not working and the CD stacker has a static problem. But im sure its nothing an auto elec can't fix for a couple hundred dollars. Paint has all the scratches you told me, but was better than i was expecting. Oh and the butterfly was hiding a small dent! :-(.
Overall though, a fast, comfortable, reliable! car, very happy!
Thank you very much Ben for all your efforts.

I got the car started at the docks and ended up stopping by a Beaurepairs on the way home to pick up a new battery after heeling and toe-ing my way out of there to make sure she didnt stall. Overall though, the car is great. Engine seems well cared for, timing belt was changed a while back, turbo is responsive, no noises, all instruments and the gimmickry inside is operational and the car is pretty clean all over. the body is in great nick for its age, only 1 dent and only 2 paint blemishes.
So its gone well, hopefully by the end of next week it'll be complied and then on the road shortly after.

I imported a 1990 Honda Civic SIR about 4 years ago, and love it!
Doing buisness with Ben Lippa at j-spec was a breeze, things seemed to roll smoothly right up to the day I picked up my car,
they hepled me decide on a car with providing me with there own feedback and other information about the car before I made my decision. I suggest dealing with the guys at j-spec, if you are patient in waiting for the right car to come along you wont be dissapointed.
Thanks J-Spec.

Hi guys
I've had the car on the road for a few weeks and just wanted to say thanks, it's brilliant! Condition is excellent and I think it's going to be perfect for the big trip. Another guy in the club just bought a Delica also here, his cost over 4 grand more than mine, has higher mileage, less features and the condition is no where near as good, I've kind of been avoiding telling him how much mine was, I don't want to be cruel lol! Thanks also for the contact with the wheels, that'll be a nice addition.

Hey Ben,
Skyline is now complied and registered. Thanks for all your help, you definetly made the importing process very simple and easy. The website is great and easy to use, i think that is a huge help in choosing a vehicle and being comfortable with knowledge on importing. The car was even better in person than in pics, and is completely immaculate inside and out. I got comments by the pit inspectors on just how immaculate it actualy was. Budget estimate was close, only complaince being in WA was a tad more expensive then estimated. I will definetly be recommending you to friends and using your services again on my next import.
Many Thanks.

Hi Ben,
I collected the car yesterday. It looks even better in the flesh, those White Volks are fantastic, have to agree it is the one to have. Rob was very impressed with car, said it was one of the cleanest cars he's had come through, no issues at all. He even pointed out things like no oil leaks , including around the rocker cover ( which most have ). I was grinning all the way back to Sydney, first time I've been happy with a 2 hour drive from Newcastle.
Thank you very much for finding the "one" because I think it truly is. Also thanks for your patience with all my emails/phone calls/shifting budget/on again off again. I think you well and truly your earned fee and at times I was not the easiest customer.
All up I'm a very happy customer and will be recommending you to mates, I may even give you call in 12 months for a track car.

I've just used J-Spec to bring in my 4th car and I'm as happy with this one as I am with my first from over 7 years ago. I can't say enough good things about the service Ben and J-Spec have given me over the years and I have no doubt this will not be the last car I get them to import for me.
Thanks guys for the great cars over the years.

Got the car from compliance last week and I absolutely love the car. Disregarding the minor dings and scratches, it looks gorgeous. I just cleaned, polished and waxed it today and have attached a picture. Will gladly come to you to import my future R32 GTR, R33 GTR or R34 GTT!
Thanks for all the help and I really appreciate it.

I've had the car on the road for two weeks, it's fantastic. Overall condition is far better than what i expected. Took the cruiser for a spin last weekend, all 4wd stuffs properly engaged in a very smooth manner. The interior is exceptional clean conditions. The only minor task required is getting Air con working .
So just wanted to say thanks to both of you & J-spec, definitely can add me in to a very satisfied customer list.

Hi Ben,
Thank you for the outstanding service. The car has arrived and is in the exact condition described. I am absolutely satisfied with it and very glad that I listened to your advice.
After having months of other brokers and dealers stuffing me around, I am very happy that I ended up importing my car from you.
Being the first car I have ever imported, you assured me by keeping me well informed and responded to ALL my enquires faster then a dropped bear. It was surprisingly headache free which can be said to your effortless work towards to your client. Not only did you assist me during the importing procedure but you were also there to help me out when the car arrived. I cant rate you well enough.
I have already recommended your service to other people in person and online as they are also shocked how great the condition of the car is.
I have never been happier with this type of service and I wish you all the best, with your great client relationship and wide knowledge in cars and import, I know anyone who deals with you will be as satisfied as I am.

Hi Ben,
Picked up the car yesterday - LOVE IT! Still drives like new, love how the boost comes on so early for Chasers. Condition of the paint is very good, I initially thought it was flat white but realized it was actually pearl when I saw it in the sun after a good wash. Just need rims, factory lip and sports grille (all sitting in my garage) and it should be the perfect daily.
Once again thanks so much for all your efforts and help. The guys at Import Factory were great too. One day when I've got the money for it I'm going to look at importing a manual JZX100 so you should hear from me then haha.
