Cadillac Seville compliance now available12th Oct 2010
Cadillac Seville compliance for the 5th generation, factory right hand drive models is now available. Truth be known compliance has in fact been available for some time and there are several dozen in the country already, but the Sevilles slipped under the radar of most, with more compliance workshops now able to do them it's time to shed some light on this little known gem.
Featuring a 32 valve quad cam V8 power the front wheels (!) it was the most powerful front wheel drive car of it's day. Advanced computer traction and stability control including yaw sensors help tame the torque and power through the front wheels, and although predominantly a high end luxury car it does have some sportiness hidden in its DNA, and with some bigger wheels and lowered suspension they are the epitome of cool.

Models eligible for import:Both the SLS (205kW) and STS (225kW) models are eligible for import. Naturally, it is only the factory right hand drive models which can be imported.
Availability:Cadillac Sevilles are reasonably common in Japan, most people will likely want to go for the STS model as it was the highest spec, and is not significantly more expensive.
Typical pricing:As of late 2010 prices are usually around $10,000 - $15,000 landed and complied for good condition, well appointed cars. Given that they would have been around $120,000 if sold new in Australia not 10 years ago, they represent excellent value for money and a very cheap entry into a world class luxury car.
