2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 MR

I gave Ben a brief of what I was after and the very next day he found me an excellent grade 4.5A example of an EVO 8 MR. I was supplied with at least 150 photos of the vehicle, an inspection report and even some videos of the car running. I had purchased the car within 24 hours of signing with J Spec, apparently this was a record! J spec assisted me every step of the way and made the purchasing and importing experience very easy by putting me into contact with all of the relevant people to get the car here and complied. Upon arrival the car was exactly as Ben described. It is hard to find good reliable service these days, I recommend J Spec Imports to anyone looking to import a good quality car with no hassles. I will definitely be using their services in the future.

Honda S660

Built from 2015 onwards, the Honda S660 while perhaps is named in honour of the S600 from the 1960's, it's fair to say the S660 is more the spiritual successor to the Honda Beat from the earlu 1990's. The S660 is a 2 door, rear engined convertible kei car, a special category of cars in Japan that have cheaper registration costs, cheaper toll road costs and cheaper parking costs as long as they meet certain requirements in terms of physical size, engine size and even maximum power output.

As such, like all kei cars the Honda S660 has a 660cc engine (turbo charged in this case) with 64hp (47kW) mated to a 7 speed tiptronic CVT auto or 6 speed manual. While 64hp doesn't sound like much, close ratio gearing and 830kg make for a car that's fun to fling around in city driving, if not a bury-you-in-the-seat power house. Fuel economy is a standout with 21.2km/L for MT, 24.2km/L for CVT. The exotic mid engine layout makes for excellent weight distribution, which combined with the very light weight results in excellent handling. The 6 speed manual is a rare feature in a kei car, and tiptronic auto models feature a sports mode and paddle shifters.
