We got to see the car for the first time while it was in for compliance up on the Sunshine Coast. It was nothing like in the photo's - it was way BETTER than we had even hoped for. We already knew that it had pretty low kilometres (55k) but its condition was EXCELLENT. I am not kidding, it was virtually in showroom condition. We both were impressed.

Toyota Crown (S180 series)

The S180 series Crown was released mid 2004 and as always was intended as Toyotas main luxury model. Toyota released a number of variants with different engine configurations and different looking front and rear end treatments.

Of importable models the 3.0L Royal Saloon is the base model, with the 3.0L Athlete the slightly sportier version. These cars feature the 188kW 3GR-FSE direct injected engine and a 6 speed tiptronic transmission. In late 2005 a 3.5L version of the Athlete was introduced as the most powerful sports version with 232kW (315hp) and a 6 speed tiptronic auto, this was the 2GR-FSE engine as found in the Mark X and a few different Lexus models. Finally, the Crown Majesta is the top spec luxury model with a V8 4.3L engine (3UZ-FE with 208kW) and 6 speed transmission, the same engine as found in the Lexus LS430, SC430 and GS430.
